Loyalty meets shopping app for the first time in the UK

House of Fraser revolutionises the retail space with the launch of a new iOS app that combines loyalty with a fully transactional multichannel app

House of Fraser has launched a new iOS retail loyalty app that will revolutionise the way customers shop. The app was updated as part of the ongoing partnership between Poq and House of Fraser.

This is the first time in the UK that a retailer has been able to successfully unite a loyalty app with a fully transactional shopping app. It rewards users for engaging with the brand in-store, online and on the app. Points gathered through these interactions can be redeemed again via multiple channels, making it a true multichannel loyalty proposition.

Other multichannel functionality that customers on the app can take advantage of include:

Use the app as a loyalty card, instead of having to present a physical card at the till.

Personalisation of the app. Enter preferred sizes and favourite store and the app indicates whether each item in the wishlist and shopping bag is in stock and available for collection at the preferred store.

Sign in to your House of Fraser account on the app to utilise one basket across all House of Fraser online channels.

Andy Harding, Chief Customer Officer at House of Fraser, commented: “The partnership with Poq empowers us to innovate our mobile apps, and deliver market leading propositions as demonstrated by the integration of our Recognition loyalty programme. We see this as a significant step in using our app to combine our online and offline experiences.”

Oyvind Henriksen, our Co-founder and CEO, added: “The Poq platform is a unique SaaS solution to building apps. We provide a solid foundation that empowers retailers to make changes to their apps in house. Every retailer that has a loyalty scheme should pay attention to what House of Fraser is doing in this space. Why would you force your customers to use a physical loyalty card, when you can deliver it right to their most intimate device?”
