Our 3 steps for successful fashion mcommerce

decoded meet up

Last night saw the launch of the first Decoded London meet-up, and we were pleased as punch to be asked along to demo our product.

We attended the first Decoded London conference last year (you can read our write-up of the 7 key themes from that event here), and the new meet-up had the same great mixture of exciting technology and fashion savvy.

The view from the crowd at Decoded Fashion Meetup

Our presentation was about what we do and how we do it, and it lays out what we think are the three most important steps for fashion brands who want to succeed at mobile commerce. They are:

1. Make it easy to shop

2. Connect to multichannel

3. Add an emotional layer

The presentation also covers why you might be in love with your iPhone! You can see the whole thing below, or download it on Slideshare here.

It was really interesting to hear from other startups at the event, including:

  • Chirp.io, an incredible new way to share files using sounds (this is very cool, you should download it and give it a try)
  • Tapestry, which lets you collect and curate items in-store and on your mobile and sends you content, offers and rewards about the same items.
  • Styloola, connecting fashion boutiques and shoppers to benefit both

Decoded are currently looking for startups who’d like to demo at the next event, so get in touch on Twitter if you’re interested.

It was inspiring to finally get all of the fashion-tech community together in one place, so huge thanks to Decoded for organising this. See you at the next event!
