Poq spring ’14 release

We’re very excited to announce the Spring ’14 Release of our mobile commerce platform, which will help our customers to create even better apps and sell more on mobile.

Helping mobile grow your bricks and mortar sales

Linking up online sales with bricks-and-mortar retail has always been a challenge for retailers, but our new mobile app features offer a solution.

Imagine a customer walking past your shop. They’ve downloaded your app, so they get a location-specific push notification offering them a 10% discount.

Once inside, they can scan a product barcode with their app to get more information, and if they’re not sure about buying straight away, they save it to their wishlist on the app to buy later at home.

This is what the new Poq mobile commerce platform lets you do, with our new in-store features including:

– Product scanning through your app.
– Store locators that help your customers find the nearest shop to them, with click to call, directions, and opening hours
– Geo-located push notifications
– An in-store iPad app that staff can use to help customers order items not currently in stock

Put your best content on mobile and engage your customers

Our new content management system gives you two major advantages.

Firstly, you can add all your most relevant mobile content to your app, engaging your customers and encouraging them to visit the app regularly and stay for longer.

Our new content management system lets you upload blog posts, social media accounts, video and images, helping you create a true branded experience. It’s easy and intuitive to use.

Secondly, you can promote specific products. For example, a post about a celebrity who’s been seen wearing your shoes can link directly to the relevant pair, or you can create styling guides that link to product categories.

A fully branded experience

We know that your mobile channel needs to reflect the look and feel of your online site and your overall branding, and we’ve made that easier with new custom fonts and graphics on the Poq platform.

By offering these customised options, we can easily work with your in-house designers or your web agency to make sure your app offers customers the perfect branded experience.

We’ve also added design optimisation, which means your app is very likely to convert at a higher rate than your existing site. Our client Hudson Shoes saw a 71% increase in mobile revenue after the launch of their app and mobile site.
