Announcing Boxpark Marketplace app powered by Poq

Poq are proud to announce our latest clients – Boxpark, the world’s first pop-up mall. Boxpark Shoreditch is a British independent, pop-up mall in the heart of East London built from re-fitted shipping containers, and is now also available to shop from online.

Boxpark Shoreditch is fused together by a mix of fashion and lifestyle brands, galleries, cafés and events, and recently launched their new iPhone app. The new app allows consumers to shop on the move 24/7, and Boxpark will be using it as a platform to launch new styles and special offers. So if you want to be the first to know about deliveries and have access to exclusive sale and discount periods, download it now.

The app works as an integral part of Boxpark’s revolutionary digital concept that will see them become a cashless mall alongside a new transactional website and this mobile shopping app.

Omnichannel commerce

The app serves as the glue between the online and offline channels, including all products featured on the app and provides a truly seamless omnichannel commerce experience for retailers. Shopping bag and wishlist content is synced across consumer touchpoints, so consumers are able to like or add products to bag on the app, and check out on the desktop later.

All of this is powered by the Poq Magento extension, available on Magento Connect.

It’s easy to use

The app displays Boxpark’s full range of brands, offering a simple and seamless shopping experience. The homepage of the app will be regularly updated with Poq’s easy-to use admin system. The banners can link to any area of the app, or pull in external content like videos or social media pages.

Instore engagement

The app empowers shoppers at Boxpark to scan products instore, add them to a basket or wishlist, and share them via email or on social media. It also enables geo-targeted messages – in other words, when you’re near the Boxpark store and you have the app installed, you can get targeted discounts and promotions sent straight to your phone.

The scanning feature can link up online and offline channels and increase conversions in both. Customers who see a product they like instore can easily add it to their app wishlist, and buy it later at home or on the move. It’s the perfect enabler for impulse buys!

The mobile app will also include information about upcoming events and promotions at Boxpark, as well as beautifully laid out product pages with high-res images, encouraging customers to browse and shop.
